December is already one of my favorite months – it does have an unfair advantage, though, because of my birthday and Christmas – but what makes it even better is the fact that is SNOWED last night. Yes, snow in San Antonio, Texas!! This is NOT a Texas Christmas, y’all. It is a Texas Christmas miracle! LOL!
The snow only lasted a few short hours, and I know it will not make it to Christmas, but one can dream, right?! I did manage to wake up early and snap some pics of our current home and future home site covered in the beautiful white blanket.
For those keeping up with #YantaCountryCottage, our slab will be poured on WEDNESDAY, December, 13th at 5am. Eeeeek! (That is if it doesn’t rain or snow again. 🙂 ) Just two days before my birthday! That is pretty early for me to be up and with it, but watching the progress of our home will be one of the best gifts yet!
I haven’t officially introduced the newest member of our family yet, Miss Maggie, but she didn’t know what to think of the white stuff everywhere. She did soon realize that it could be eaten, just like she does everything else in our backyard, and that seemed to be her favorite thing to do. Haha! Blog update and official announcement coming soon. 🙂
Days like yesterday and today hold a special place in my heart. This really is such a rare occurrence here in San Antonio, TX. It makes me so grateful to God for creating such beauty and allowing me to share it with my you all, my family, friends, and fur babies. I really hope you northerners don’t take a good snow day for granted… even if you do see it all the time! Remember to be thankful, because each day we are given is a blessed one. <3
