Cinnamon smells in the air, colorful leaves on the ground, and pumpkin-flavored everything, it is no wonder why fall is one of my favorite seasons! Cool breezes are the first signs that the weather is beginning to transition and a cue that its time for your wardrobe to do the same.
Although we are not quite to the cooler weather yet, I’ve put together examples of some pieces I have in my closet (shift dresses, floral skirts/dresses, boyfriend jeans, etc.), and then explained how I would wear them. Coordinating like this helps me maximize my money, and being that this is a little early, let’s me assess my wardrobe. You don’t always have to go out and buy new things. Sometimes you just need a new way of looking at the pieces you already have. (New things never hurt, though! ;))
Here are a few of my favorite clothing items and accessories you can wear now and later to give you some inspiration! Besides, I know you’re already falling hard for those gorgeous fall colors!

Additional Style Tips:
For summer, jewel tones look great when paired with complimentary pastels! Think cranberry blouse with light pink shorts, or a turquoise button up with a mint colored mini.
In the fall, pair jewel tones with contrasting colors. A yellow top with an olive green jacket thrown over looks chic and effortless.
When it is hot, sheer pieces work on their own because they’re light and airy.
But when it starts to cool down, don’t put those tops away! Add a tank underneath for warmth, or a bold leather jacket on top. A lace trim on a cami or the toughness of leather is often all an outfit needs to go from blah to BAM!
Florals weren’t only meant for spring. If you have a cute floral dress or skirt try pairing it with a solid-color, chunky sweater. If the dress has a collar, don’t forget to let it peek through the top! Super cute and warm!
